Competition & private leagues
Free forever · no cardThe DeepTicker Official Competition gives you a virtual portfolio of $50,000 to practice with real market prices, compete against other users and measure your decisions with serious metrics.
You can take part in the official tournament, compete against the 🤖 DeepTicker AI, create private leagues with friends and follow your progress with ranking, return, Sharpe ratio, drawdown and Alpha DeepTicker.
The competition and private leagues are free forever. Even if you do not activate Premium, you can keep practicing, competing and learning inside DeepTicker.
Two ways to compete
Compete against all participants and against the 🤖 DeepTicker AI. Each user starts with $50,000 in virtual cash, trades with real prices and appears in a shared ranking.
The Official Competition may include prizes and Alpha DeepTicker: a score that measures your risk-adjusted performance and helps you see whether you are truly improving as an investor.
To be eligible for prizes you have to meet a few simple rules on activity and risk management. DeepTicker shows you at all times whether you are eligible for prizes, which requirement you are missing and what action you need to take to meet it again.
Create a private league in a minute, invite your friends with a link and compete with the same base rules: $50,000 in virtual cash, real prices and a live ranking.
Private leagues are designed to learn, have a bit of friendly rivalry and compare investing styles as a group. They do not change your Alpha DeepTicker from the Official Competition and have no official DeepTicker prize.
Why it exists
DeepTicker exists so that investing stops feeling like a closed language. The platform turns financial, regulatory and market data into information that is easier to interpret: stock analysis, market context, portfolio tracking and hands-on learning.
The competition does not replace analysis: it turns it into practice. You can study companies, make decisions with a virtual portfolio, see how your strategy reacts to the market and learn from your mistakes without putting real money at risk.
⚠️ Notice: DeepTicker is a platform for information, analysis, education and financial entertainment. It does not provide financial advice or personalized investment recommendations. Investment decisions and their consequences are the sole responsibility of the user.
What it is
The Official Competition is a free virtual investing competition. You get $50,000 in virtual cash and compete against other users trading with real market prices.
It is a hands-on way to learn the stock market: you make decisions, see the result, compare your portfolio with other participants and find out whether your strategy works beyond theory. You can use it to practice before investing real money, test ideas, understand risk better and develop your own investing style.
When you want to take what you have learned to your real portfolio, you can use My Portfolio to record trades, measure return and compare your progress against the S&P 500.
How it works
No deposits, no broker and no card. You sign up, enter the active competition and start building your virtual portfolio.
01
When you join the competition you have a virtual portfolio with $50,000. The cash is virtual, but the prices are real. You practice with market data without risking your capital.
02
You can buy and sell stocks and ETFs available within the competition universe. Every trade is recorded so you can review your history, your wins and your mistakes.
03
You can adjust your positions, reduce concentration, rotate between assets and schedule orders such as take-profit or stop-loss when available. The idea is not to trade for the sake of it, but to practice real decisions: when to enter, exit, hold or cut risk, and to review the impact of each move.
04
All participants appear in a single ranking, sorted by return. Next to each user, DeepTicker shows whether they are eligible for prizes or not. If a participant finishes in a prize position but does not meet the requirements of the edition, the prize passes to the next eligible user in the ranking.
05
The 🤖 DeepTicker AI sums up how the tournament is evolving with recaps of the session: leaders, comebacks, drops, standout moves and major changes in the ranking. The goal is not only to compete, but to understand what is happening inside the competition.
06
The Official Competition may include prizes for the best participants and special rewards for those who finish ahead of the 🤖 DeepTicker AI. Always check the rules of the active edition to see dates, prizes, conditions and requirements.
Rules to be eligible for prizes
All participants can play, trade and appear in the ranking. But to be eligible for prizes you have to meet some minimum conditions on participation and risk management.
DeepTicker shows your status at all times inside the competition: whether you are eligible for prizes, whether you are missing a monthly trade, whether you hold a position that is too concentrated or whether you fail to meet a requirement of the edition.
To be eligible for prizes, each participant must make at least 1 valid trade per month. A valid trade is a buy or sell executed for a minimum amount of $1,000.
This rule prevents abandoned portfolios without forcing you to trade every few days.
You cannot make a buy that would leave more than 50% of the total portfolio value invested in a single ticker. The limit is checked at the moment you buy.
If a position goes above 50% because the price rose, you are not forced to sell. While it stays above the limit you cannot buy more of that ticker; you can still hold or sell (in full or in part).
If a participant already holds a position above the allowed limit, DeepTicker will show a warning on their dashboard.
To become eligible for prizes again, they must reduce that position until it meets the rule. The system indicates which position breaks the rule and what to do to get back on track.
All participants appear in the same ranking. Prizes are assigned to the first eligible participant: if a non-eligible user finishes in a prize position, the prize passes to the next one who does meet the requirements.
This way the ranking stays transparent, but prizes go to those who took part within the rules.
The current edition of the Official Competition runs from 8 June to 8 December 2026.
Dates, prizes and conditions may vary in future editions. Always check the full rules and the legal terms before taking part.
What makes it different
DeepTicker does not frame the competition as a gamble. It frames it as training: you make decisions, see consequences, compare strategies and learn to read your own portfolio.
The 🤖 DeepTicker AI turns the ranking into a recap that is easy to follow: who is leading, who is climbing back, which portfolios moved the most and which decisions are shaping the competition.

Your tournament portfolio shows positions, return, P&L, trades and scheduled orders. You can review what you did, when you did it and how it affected your result.

It is not all raw return. DeepTicker shows metrics that help you understand risk better: Sharpe ratio, drawdown, performance against the market and Alpha DeepTicker.
That makes it easy to tell apart someone leading on one extreme bet from someone building a more solid portfolio.
Participants' portfolios can be viewed inside the competition to learn from other investing styles.
You can see which companies each user holds, how they are managing risk and which decisions explain their position in the ranking.

Alpha DeepTicker
Alpha DeepTicker is a score of the Official Competition that measures your risk-adjusted performance. It does not reward big returns alone: it also takes into account how you achieved them. The goal is to prevent an extreme bet from looking like a great strategy only because it worked out once.
Alpha DeepTicker values factors such as:
The score is only calculated in the Official Competition. Private leagues are for competing with friends, but they do not change your Alpha DeepTicker.
As you improve your score, you level up inside the competition:
The idea is that the competition measures not just a single edition, but your progress as a participant over time.
Why it works
The competition teaches you to look beyond "I am up" or "I am down". You see return, risk, drawdown, the Sharpe ratio and comparison against the market.
A very concentrated portfolio can rise fast, but it can also fall hard. DeepTicker helps you spot whether you are betting too much on a single idea or whether your risk is poorly spread.
Every trade is recorded. You can go back, analyze what worked, what failed and what you would do differently next time.
The public portfolios in the tournament let you observe different strategies: users who are more concentrated, more diversified, more defensive or more aggressive. Seeing how others play also helps sharpen your own judgment.
Learning happens when you make decisions and see consequences. Here you can do it without putting your capital at risk.
